Stakeholders ​Engagement Key To Effective Education Policies Implementation – Ndukuba

The Primate, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, has urged the Federal Government to consult widely with religious institutions and key stakeholders in the education sector before implementing new policies.

​Ndukuba gave the advice at an event to mark the 2025/2026 academic session in Abuja.

​He noted that several education policies failed in the past due to unilateral decisions taken by the government without proper engagement with critical partners.

​Represented by Venerable Andrus Ukaejiofor, the Primate stressed the need for government to fully restore Christian Religious Knowledge, CRK, and Islamic Religious Knowledge ,IRK,  into the primary and secondary school curriculum to tackle rising moral decadence.

​According to him, instilling the fear of God in children from a young age remains the most effective way to curb corruption and other social vices.

​Ndukuba assured that the Anglican Church would continue to establish standard and affordable schools to ensure children from underprivileged backgrounds have access to quality education.

​Also speaking, the Head of the Anglican International Academy, Venerable Nelson Akinwande, said the institution places a strong emphasis on vocational skills acquisition, aligning with federal policies aimed at making graduates self-reliant.

​Akinwande stated that the school focuses on building students both morally and academically to adequately prepare them for future challenges.

​He called on private school proprietors to complement government efforts in making quality education accessible to every Nigerian child.

​Akinwande added that the church would not relent in its efforts to support and elevate the standard of the nation’s education system.
