The Primate, Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion , Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba wants leaders to imbibe the virtue of humility and selflessness as they serve the people.
Speaking at a Thanksgiving Service and presentation of a book to mark his 65TH birthday held at the Cathedral Church Of Advent, Life Camp Abuja, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba explained that the nation’s challenges can be surmounted when good and sacrificial leaders put the people first rather than their selfish ventures.
While thanking God for purposeful years, the Anglican Primate pledged to live more years of impact to the church and his community.
The Guest Preacher, Most Reverend Gabriel Akinbiyi tasked church leaders to lead by example and refrain from pursuing worldly things.
Most Reverend Akinbiyi also told the Priests to emulate the life style of Jesus Christ who always ensured the spiritual growth of his followers.
He commended the leadership style of the Anglican Primate which he said was impactful through the promotion of peace and provision for the needy in the society.
While reviewing the book “The Reign of God (Walking the Path)”, in which Archbishop Ndukuba reflects on God’s sovereign purpose for the Church, a former Minister of Power and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Professor Chinedu Nebo described the book as a timely contribution to Christian leadership, discipleship and biblical teaching.
Also speaking, the immediate Primate, Most Reverend Nicholas Okoh described Archbishop Ndukuba as a faithful servant whose leadership has strengthened the Anglican Communion and inspired many within and beyond the Church.
