He issued a stern warning to criminal elements operating within the territory, stressing that their activities would not be tolerated, as there is no room for lawlessness in the Territory.

The CP, who said he was leveraging a four-point agenda to end criminality in the territory, asserted that the police was determined to root out crime, hence those who chose to go against the law will face the full force of justice.

He further emphasized the need for diligence and urged officers to fulfill their responsibilities diligently while declaring a zero-tolerance stance against laxity.

The FCT police boss promised an administration characterized by policing aligned with global best practices, respect for fundamental human rights, visible policing, and a proactive approach to security challenges in the Territory.

The Police Commissioner, while emphasizing the importance of community support in the fight against crime, urged residents and indigenes alike to collaborate with the police by sharing credible information that could aid in identifying and apprehending criminals.

Born on October 7, 1968, in Akatta Oru-East LGA of Imo State, CP Igweh, who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Estate Management and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
