Political Parties Urged To Uphold Structures To Check Suspension Of Leaders

Leadership of political parties have been advised to ensure that party structures are strengthened to avoid internal crisis that lead to suspension of their leaders.

A Political Analyst, Mr. Jide Orintunsin gave the advice while featuring on “Politics Today” a Kapital FM Current Affairs Programme in Abuja.

Speaking on the topic,” Political Parties Leadership, impact and implications” Mr Orintunsin
stressed the need for political leaders to always emulate the first and second republic party structures that strongly believe in respect of constitutions on which the political parties were founded.

Mr Orintunsin described political parties as platforms to contest elective positions which must be monitored to avoid abuse of power by the leaders.

Callers on the programme are of the opinion that political parties should before registration define their mode of operations to avoid crisis.
