Abuja Open For Development Partnership – Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike says Abuja is open for gainful and mutual partnership with local and foreign investors.

Wike made this known when he received the President of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Mr Chris Isiguzo, and the Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria, James Chrisoff at seperate meetings in Abuja.

The Minister explained that Abuja was conceived to be at per with world class cities in infrastructural development, hence the need to welcome investors with positive intentions.

Wike proudly told the Canadian High Commissioner that FCT has fertile land for agriculture and will welcome partnership towards harnessing potential that could impact the life of the youths meaningfully.

Earlier, the Canadian High Commissioner to Nigera, James Chrisoff, commended the Minister on some of the policies he had implemented, especially the creation of Women Affairs Secretariat in FCT, adding that the move would help to promote the welfare of young women and girls.

The High Commissioner also added that his country was prepared for a mutual relations, especially in the area of agriculture.

Similarly, the President, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Chief Chris Isiguzo, told the FCT Minister that the media community in the country believe in his capacity to delivering good governance in Abuja, even as he pledged the support of media practitioners to continue to promote good governance.

Chief Isiguzo also used the medium to call for the FCT Minister’s assistance for land allocation for the establishment of a Media Village.
