NPFL Draws To Hold On August 29

Draws for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2023/24 season will hold on Tuesday, August 29.

This is on the heel of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Board and the 20 clubs.

After the AGM, draws for the full fixtures will be conducted by 5pm, at the Hotel Sandralia in Jabi, Abuja.

It will be the first AGM under Gbenga Elegbeleye leadership the newly inaugurated chairman of the NPFL Board.

His ingratiation comes after successfully steering the Interim Management Committee (IMC) which implemented far reaching reforms in the league.

While speaking ahead of the draws and AGM the NPFL chairman said;

“We are looking forward to a cordial but productive AGM where we will share our vision to make the league commercially attractive and increase revenue for our clubs to build competitive squads and improve infrastructure”

Also adding that the league is setting off on a good foot with planned live broadcast streaming of matches, in the coming days.

All the 20 clubs are currently represented in Abuja and have expressed their readiness for the new season.

They have been pre-season tournaments and friendly games which has been ongoing by the clubs.

Football icons and administrators are expected to grace the event.

The NPFL season which kicks off on 8-10 September, was earlier slated for August 26.

This 2023/24 season will be a full format unlike 2022/23 abridged season which saw Enyimba emerge winners.
