Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez for £25m plus add-ons.

The Blues have been looking to add a goalkeeper to their squad following the sale of Edouard Mendy to Al-Ahil in Saudi Arabia.

The Spaniard will be familiar to the coaching staff at Chelsea as goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts worked with him while at Brighton.

Sanchez has been with the Seagulls since the age of 15, having joined their academy from Levante in 2013.

Chelsea Sign France Defender Disasi

France international defender Axel Disasi has joined Chelsea from AS Monaco on a six-year contract for 45m Euros (£38.57m).

Disasi, 25, offers defensive cover at Stamford Bridge after an knee injury sustained by fellow Frenchman Wesley Fofana.

Ajax have signed Portuguese forward Carlos Borges from Manchester City in a deal worth up to 20m euros (£17.3m).

Last season, the 19-year-old finished top scorer in the Premier League 2 – the top flight of academy football – with 21 goals in 24 matches.

Borges leaves City having never made a senior appearance for the first team, after joining their academy in 2014.

City have agreed a 20% sell-on clause as well as a buy-back option in the deal for the Portugal U19s frontman.

Last month it was rumoured that West Ham were leading the race to sign Borges.

Newcastle United Agree £40m Deal For Southampton Defender

Newcastle United have agreed a deal for Southampton right-back Tino Livramento worth £40m including add-ons.

The 20-year-old joined the south-coast club from Chelsea in 2021 for £5m.

Livramento’s departure comes after Southampton were relegated from the Premier League last season.

The England Under-21 defender made just two outings last term after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injuy in April 2022.
