President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s administration has been charged to prioritize the welfare and security of Nigerians.
Public affair analyst Comrade Abdulwahab Ekehinde gave the charge while featuring on perspectives a Kapitalfm Current Affairs programme in Abuja.
Comrade Ekehinde reiterated the need for government to provide palliatives to alleviate the plight of masses following the subsidy removal.
He further stressed that the money saved from the Subsidy Removal must be use judiciously
“The first policy the president read out on the day of his inauguration, subsidy is gone! and when we say subsidy is gone we know the impart it has had on your as a people , for yours we are guilded by the provision of the constitution that says that section 14 Sub section 2b says that the primary purpose of government is security and welfare of the people . So any policy that you want to bring that doesn’t attempt or want to protect the the interest and provide welfare for the people ,on that basis in the civil society we say that policy is not suppose to stand.”
Also speaking on the programme another public analyst , Mr Ted Oritunsin explained that the policies introduced so far by the president shows that he was committed to the plight of the masses
“For every project or programme, you may not get to see what u stand to gain, we may not see what we expect, we are just at the beginner level, for now all the policies, monetary policy , security aspect we can see it has yield some results, yes they may be pocket of attacks here and then which is normal he should even expect it, but so far so good the set of service chiefs engage this time around they are tested service chiefs.”
The Guests therefore urged Nigerians to support the new administration to enable it achieve its renewed hope Agenda.
