Nasarawa Police Deploys Personnel For Hitch Free Sallah

Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, Mr. Shehu Nadada has directed immediate deployment of personnel to all worship centres and Prayer Grounds as well as recreational Centres across the state to provide adequate security during the Eid el fitr celebration.

A statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel says security personnel had been sufficiently detailed for swift response to any suspicious activities capable of breaching the peace of the state during the Sallah celebration.

The statement indicates that the Police Commissioner had directed all Divisional Police Officers, Area Commanders, and Heads of Departments under the command to take charge of their various beats by providing overt and covert security in all parts of the state to safeguard lives and property.

It further states that as part of efforts aimed at maintaining peace after the Sallah celebration, the command had set up a template for high visibility of policing with patrol vehicles strategically deployed on the highways, and public and private critical infrastructure, including all the entry and exit routes of the State.

The statement calls on residents of the state to go about their lawful businesses without any fear and cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying the bad elements around their areas for necessary action.
