Mourinho Part Ways With AS Roma 

AS Roma has confirmed that coach José Mourinho and his coaching staff will leave the club with immediate effect.

Mourinho was unveiled as the Giallorossi’s 60th coach in May 2021.

The Portuguese led the Roma to win their first ever European silver wear when they won the Conference League in Tirana on May 25th, 2022.

He later followed that success, by leading Roma to the Europa League final in Budapest last season, where they lost 1-4 on penalty shootout to Sevilla Fútbol Club.

In a statement realized by AS Roma owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin in which they thank their now former coach for his passion.

“We would like to thank José on behalf of all of us at AS Roma for his passion and efforts since his arrival at the club….

We will always have great memories of his tenure at Roma, but we believe that an immediate change is in the best interests of the club.

We wish José and his assistants all the best in their future endeavours.”

The Italian currently seats 9th on the Serie A after match day 20.

Roma who have had mixed results last win was a  2-0 away win against defending Champions Napoli, and since then they lost and drew one of their last three games.
