A Non Governmental Organisation, Veronka Bakoz Charity Foundation has donated Textbooks and Stationaries to Government Day Secondary, School, LGEA Primary School and Universal Basic Education’s Library in Ganaja, to commemorate this year’s Children’s Day.
Speaking during the presentation, the founder of the NGO, Mrs Veronica Bako said the gesture was part of her efforts to promote reading culture and contribute to national development.
Mrs Bako explained that the benefits of book reading on national development were immense, noting that her NGO was promoting a reading culture to support knowledge acquisition and retention in Kogi State and Nigeria, especially among youths.

The founder of Veronika Bakoz Charity Foundation while emphasising that Government can not cater for the needs of schools alone, called on well to do Nigerians to complement their efforts by providing the necessary materials to schools in the country.
Receieving the items on behalf of the head teachers of the three schools, the Principal of Government Day Secondary School, Mr Abdul Yahaya
expressed appreciation for the gesture and commended the Foundation for the donation.
Mr Yahaya assured that the materials would be put to effective use for the promotion of learning and human capital development..
Speaking on behalf of the students and pupils, Ocheje Alleluia and Suleiman Drisu appreciatedĀ the Veronica Bakoz Charity Foundation for the gesture and prayed God to replenish the founder in hundred folds.
