The need to review the ongoing All Progressive Congress, APC primary elections for fairness, equity and justice has been stressed.
This call was made by the Niger State Christian Voice in Politics and Governance during a press briefing held in Minna on the ongoing primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
Speaking during a briefing in Minna, the convener, Mr Habila Daniel Diko acknowledged the effort of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, for initiating the zoning arrangement aimed at ensuring equitable power rotation among the 25 local government areas.
The move he also said is intended to promote inclusiveness and prevent dominance by any particular region.

Diko also expressed concern over what he described as the unfair treatment and systemic exclusion of some aspirants contesting for Senatorial and House of Representatives positions under the guise of zoning and consensus arrangements.
He further alleged that some aspirants for the State House of Assembly are being pressured to withdraw from the race, urging the APC leadership to address the situation and review the outcome of the primaries where complaints and irregularities have been reported.
He called on other political parties in the state to ensure fairness and inclusiveness in their processes.
Diko also advised the youths not to be discouraged by the happenings in the political circle.
