Tinubu Fulfilled His Promise To The North – Rahman

The Director of Media and Publicity Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Alhaji Tunde Rahman says
President Bola Tinubu has delivered laudable transformational projects in the Northern part of the country in line with his campaign promise to the people of the North.

This is against the backdrop of insinuations in some quarters that President Tinubu has not kept his promise to the North.

Alhaji Rahman made this known in a statement in Abuja after the conclusion of a media tour of Federal Government projects in the Northwest geopolitical zone by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in collaboration with the Presidential Media Team.

According to Rahman, president Tinubu’s administration has kept faith with the North with projects in various stages of completion.

According to the Director of Media and Publicity of Renewed Hope Ambassadors the tour took the team from Zuba Junction in the Federal Capital Territory to Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa and Kebbi States.

He also pointed out that the Federal Government under the Renewed Hope Agenda embarked on inspection of 260 Special Intervention Projects across the country through the Federal Ministry of Works out of which the Northwest zone, comprising Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states, have 48 projects under construction.

The statement says during the tour, the team witnessed ongoing construction work on the remodeled Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway with concrete pavement, which is 20 centimetres thick with solar powered streetlights.

It says the team also inspected Section 1 of the 82 kilometres road from Zuba Junction to a little after Jere, which was virtually completed, while work on Section 2 has already commenced to be completed in November this year.

The statement further explained that the delegation inspected the Kaduna Western Bye-pass, which had been stalled for over 22 years where work has progressed considerably.

According to the statement, the 21 Kilometre dual carriageway is already around 50% completion with no funding problem.

The team equally observed some projects under construction which includes the Kaduna-Kano-Katsina-Maradi (Niger Republic) railway line that would connect several states in the North and the Niger Republic, for inter-state transportation, agriculture and trade.

The statement says the flyover bridge under construction in Kaduna for the trans-Sahara railway line, is slated for completion in December 2026.

It also says that the Kano end of the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway is already at 95% completion.

Also inspected by the team was a N27billion Irrigation project in Garko, a Federal Government Ecological Fund project, a solar project of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, and the 10-Hectare Agricultural Incubation Centre at the Bayero University, Kano aimed at developing and scaling modern agricultural solutions.

Also in Kano, along the Government Reservation Area on Murtala Mohammed way, the team inspected the headquarters of the North West Development Commission, one of the interventionist agencies established by the Tinubu administration for the development of the various geopolitical zones.

Other places visited includes the ecological fund project worth N47 billion in Wujuwuju – Jakara area, and a gully erosion control project, which was initially a Kano State Government project, but taken over for construction by the present administration.

The statement said that the team also inspected the Jigawa Section of the Kaduna-Kano-Katsina-Maradi Railway project which is virtually completed.

It says for the Kebbi Section of the Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway covering Phases 2A and 2B and stretching from Kilometer 120 to Kilometre 385, work is progressing according to schedule.
