Matawalle Solicits Collective Efforts For Unity, Peace In Nig

The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has called for collective efforts by all citizens to promote peace and unity across the country.

Matawalle stated this when he hosted the former governor of Imo state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha in his office in Abuja.

He stressed that all hands must be on deck to eliminate insecurity bedevilling the nation, noting that President Bola Tinubu’s administration would continue to ensure the safety of lives and property of Nigerians.

The former Zamfara Governor also pledged more commitment in the discharge of his constitutional role in upholding the Nation’s territorial integrity.

“Myself and the former Imo Governor, Rochas Okorocha had meaningful deliberations on critical issues of national development,” Matawalle stated.

The Minister of State for Defence appreciated the visit and commended Senator Rochas Okorocha for putting Nigeria first.

On his part, the former Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Renewed Hope Initiative of President Bola Tinubu for a more secure, prosperous, and inclusive Nigeria.

“I and Dr. Bello Matawalle have been good friends for long, I visited Matawalle at the Government House Gusau while he was Zamfara state Governor and I am here to support him to enable him deliver on his mandate” Senator Okorocha stated.
