Vulnerable groups in the twenty-one Local Government Areas of Kogi State have benefited from the food outreach of the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI.
Speaking at the presentation of the items at the Government House in Lokoja, the first lady of Nigeria and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, Senator Oluremi Tinubu assured Government’s determination to formulate policies and initiate programmes aimed at making life better for Nigerians.
Represented by Wife of the Vice President and National Vice Chairman of the RHI, Hajia Nana Shettima, Senator Tinubu pointed out that the food supplies were donated by an anonymous public-spirited company and the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa) who are committed to supplying food items on a monthly basis to RHI for distribution to Nigerians.

Senator Tinubu explained that the Renewed Hope Initiative has made significant progress in its efforts to support the people, particularly women and youths, towards building a better life for their families.
She gave the assurance to citizens of the state of more dividends of democracy in agriculture, education, economic empowerment, health, and social investment while appealing to the beneficiaries not to sell the food items.
Wife of the Governor of Kogi State, Hajiya Sefinat Ododo expressed gratitude to the Wife of the President for the gesture and commended president Bola Tinubu for giving priority to vulnerable people, pledging support of women in the State.
Governor Usman Ododo, in a remark, described the Renewed Hope Initiative Food Outreach program as a testament to the steadfast commitment of President Tinubu’s administration towards reaching out to every Nigerian.
Governor Ododo advised those in charge of the distribution to ensure fairness and transparency in the distribution.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr Ibrahim Arome and Rafaat Kabir thanked the wife of the president for the items, maintaining that the initiative would alleviate the burden faced by the vulnerable in the society.
Items distributed include: Rice, Noodles, Spaghetti, Vegetable oil, and Semovita.
