The newly promoted Directors in the civil service have been advised to be more dedicated in driving the reforms in the service towards ensuring national development.
Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack gave the advice at the induction for the Directors in Abuja. The Induction was to enable the directors brace up ahead of the task of contributing their quota to national development.
Mrs Walson-Jack said the Civil Service, as the backbone of government operations, plays a pivotal role in implementing policies, delivering public services and ensuring that the machinery of government runs efficiently.
She said the federal government relies more on the directors to be accountable for the civil service to meet global best practices.
In a remark, the Permanent Secretary, Career Management, Dr. Fatima Mohmud emphasized on the progress made in areas of capacity building, digitalization, and improved service delivery in the civil service.
Some of the directors called for the sustainability of the training in the nation’s workforce.
Highpoint of the programme was the unveiling of the civil service theme for 2025. ‘ FCSSIP 25 Final Sprint Delivery Results’ with the slogan “2025 Year of Accomplishment.”
