The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, has revealed that the House passed 89 bills in the last 17 months.
Dr Abbas who made the revelation in Kaduna while declaring open a capacity building workshop for members of the House Press Corps, noted that the bills covered key areas such as education, security, and economic reforms.
He highlighted some notable bills to include the Electric Power Sector Reform Amendment Bill, the Federal Audit Service Bill, and the Cybercrime (Prohibition) Act.
Abbas highlighted further the House’s efforts to improve public engagement, including initiatives like the National Dialogue on State Policing, tax reform dialogues, and town halls on the 2024 Appropriation Bill.
He emphasized that these engagements demonstrate the House’s commitment to inclusive and participatory governance.
