The All Progressive Congress, APC, says it will continue to work to ensure that democracy is entrenched in all nooks and crannies of the country.
The national chairman, Alhaji Umar Ganduje made this known at the party’s national headquarters, Abuja while inaugurating some Governors that would over see activities of the party across the six geo Political zones of the country.
According to him, time has gone when Political parties win elections and become dormant due to lack of party activities at the wards, local government and state levels.
The APC national Chairman, maintained that it is the duty of the party to educate members on ideologies and manifestos to ensure that everyone is carried along.
Alhaji Ganduje said to this end, some Governors had been chosen to oversee, motivate and encourage all members within the geo Political zones for quick development of the party in the country.
Responding on behalf of the coordinators, chairman of the APC Governor’s Forum and Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodimma, assured the party that they would meet the demands and aspirations of making every party member intimated with its activities and functions through out the Zones.
The Coordinators are : South East Political Zone, Imo State Governor, North Central Zone, Kwara State Governor and Yobe state Governor for the North East.
Others are South West zone, Lagos State Governor, North West, Kaduna State Governor and South South Geo Political zone, Cross River State Governor.
The terms of reference given to them includes,
To coordinate Governors of the zones, identify and participate more in programmes and activities of the party, initiate periodic interface between the Governors of the zones with leadership of the party, liase with the party to commence immediate process of genuine reconciliation of aggrieved party members in the geopolitical zones among others.
