CNS Appoints Adams Aliu As Director Naval Information

The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, has approved the appointment of Commodore Aiwuyor Augustine Adams-Aliu as Director of Naval Information and official Spokesperson for the Nigerian Navy.

According to a statement by the Naval Chief of Policy and Plans, Rear Admiral JD Akpan, Commodore Aiwuyor Augustine Adams-Aliu has taken over the reins from Rear Admiral Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan, who has been redeployed to the Naval Training Command as the Chief Staff Officer.

The statement notes that Commodore Adams-Aliu, who was born on December 15, 1977, in Lagos, brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.

It states that the new naval spokesman was
commissioned into the Nigerian Navy in 2000, and has embarked on a distinguished naval career, serving in various capacities both nationally and internationally.

It further explains that Commodore Adams-Aliu has held key positions, including Watch Keeping Officer, military observer in the United Nations Mission in Liberia, Officer in Charge of Nigerian Navy Ship BENIN, and Squadron Commander of SHALDAG Boat squadron.

It says his leadership skills were further honed as the Pioneer Commanding Officer of Nigerian Navy Ship KARADUWA and Principal Staff Officer to the Chief of Defence Staff.

It adds that Commodore Adams-Aliu is also actively involved in professional organizations such as the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management.

The Nigerian Navy calls upon the public to extend their cooperation and support to Commodore Aiwuyor Augustine Adams-Aliu as he assumes his responsibilities as the official spokesperson.
