FRSC Collaborating With State Judiciary For Prosecution Of Traffic Offenders

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC is collaborating with State Judiciary for proper prosecution of traffic offenders.

Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali- Biu stated this in Abuja during the first strategic meeting of the year with Zonal and Commanding officers across the country.

The Corps Marshal explained that already the Corps had written to the Head of State Judiciary for establishment of mobile Courts for quick dispensation of justice to traffic offenders.

He raised concerns over non adherence to traffic lights particularly in the federal capital territory which according to him does not only endanger lives but also undermine the credibility of the country.

The FRSC Boss therefore charged the commanding officers to redouble efforts to ensure strict enforcement of traffic laws and hold violators accountable for their actions.

Dauda Ali Biu also stressed that the home grown initiative was being adopted to check the excesses of drivers carrying animals, goods and people together as well as those on inter state and mass transit systems which remains the major cause of road accidents and fatalities.

The FRSC Corps Marshal reminded the senior officers to address rising incidences of bribery among operatives as corruption has no place in the corps.

He however appealed to the public to continue to obey traffic rules and regulations and report cases of traffic crashes and other emergencies for prompt response..
