Akeredolu’s Death, A Loss To The Nation – Olubunmi

The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has described the death of the Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu as a collosal loss to the State and the Nation at large.

The state government on Wednesday announced the passing of the Governor.

The Minister in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Alao Babatunde joined the people of Ondo State to mourn the Governor.

“Today, we bid farewell to an extraordinary individual, a beacon of courage, admired for his unwavering patriotism and selflessness.

According to the Minister, the late Akeredolu traversed the earth as a true exemplar of astute leadership, embodying the essence of a genuine leader.

The statement quotes the Minister as saying that the late Governor is a voice of conscience and a man who stood steadfastly in defence of his people and nation, even in the face of overwhelming challenges.

It states that while his departure brings immense sorrow, the people will find comfort in the indelible legacies he has left behind as a noble gentleman and a dedicated statesman.

He prayed God to grant him eternal peace and provide solace to his family during this difficult time.
