Maikalangu Commences Rehabilitation Of Dnako Township Road

The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Christopher Maikalangu, has performed the ground breaking ceremony to mark commencement of the rehabilitation of the Dnako township road.

Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Maikalangu urged the contractors to complete the project within the stipulated time to avoid revocation.

He said, as a responsible government that listens to the yearnings of the people, it is imperative to meet the needs and aspirations of the electorate, adding that AMAC residents will enjoy the dividends of democracy and feel the impact of good governance within their various communities.

Maikalangu, stressed that the Dnako Township Road shall be of great benefit to the people in the area because it will open up business activities and connect the area to other communities to reduce the pressure on the city center.

He emphasized that since inception of his administration, he has executed several landmark projects that will stand the test of time.

The AMAC Boss said his focus is more on roads construction and rehabilitation, rural electrification, water schemes and educational development, among others.

Maikalangu, however called on all critical stakeholders, traditional rulers and residents of Dnako Community, who are the direct beneficiaries of the project, to compliment government’s efforts by giving maximum support to the contractor to facilitate the project.

On his part, the Head of Works and Housing, Andrew Gaza, said that asphalt will be used on the road with drainages, adding that the project will bring economic development to the community.

The Acting Chief of Dnako village, Prince Dijango Bangyi represented by Nathaniel Gaza however applauded the chairman for giving hope to the hopeless, adding that
their appreciation knows no bounds.

He stressed that, the village Head and his Council members have unanimously agreed to name the road after the executive Chairman.
