NARCDO Appeals For Review Of Retirement Benefits

The Nigeria Association of Retired Civil Defence Officers, NARCDO, has called on the Federal Government to review the retirement benefits of officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

The Chairman of the Association, Retired Deputy Commandant-General, Evans Ewurum said that the appeal was aimed at having a retirement and pension plan that will place the Corps at par with other security agencies of government.

Ewurum said this during the inauguration of a 13-member committee saddled with the responsibility of an operational plan for the smooth running of NARCDO.

The inaugurated committee is to midwife the effective take-off of the association which was established to primarily cater for the welfare of its members.

Ewurum further directed the newly set up committee to turn in its preliminary report in two weeks while charging the committee and other members of the association to be absolutely committed to their designated assignment.

Ewurum applauded the NSCDC boss, Dr Ahmed Audi, for single handedly creating an enabling environment for the association to kick-off by providing a properly furnished office accommodation for the association.

The chairman congratulated the FCT Minister, Mr Nyesom Wike for his developmental strides since his appointment and appealed for land allocation to enable NARCDO construct a permanent office.
