Ajaka Rejoices With Tinubu On S/Court Verdict

The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Kogi State, Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the affirmation of his election by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

This is contained in a statement signed by his spokesman, Mr Faruk Adejoh-Audu in Abuja.

The statement says the apex court had indeed validated the mandate given to President Tinubu in its unanimous verdict which dismissed all the issues raised against his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal

According to the statement the mandate freely given to him by Nigerians has been affirmed and validated by the highest court in the land.

The statement appeals to the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party, Peter Obi to accept Tinubu’s appeal for cooperation to move the country forward.

It commends the other two candidates for enriching our democracy and jurisprudence.

“They are indeed democrats, but they should accept the reality that all avenue for redress had been exhausted” he notes.
