Pastor Dead As Church Collapses In Benue

A pastor has reportedly died as a Dunamis Church located at Mission Ward North Bank in Makurdi, the Benue State capital collapsed.

Channels TV reports that four people including the pastor were said to be observing prayers at the church building before the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

The other three individuals escaped the wreckage, but residential buildings and electricity infrastructure around the building were affected by the collapse.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Benue State Police Command, Anene Sewuese Catherine, said she was not aware of the incident.

However, police operatives from the C Division, North Bank, and emergency officials are already at the scene of the collapsed building.
