President of the Nigeria Baptist Convention, Reverend Israel Akanji has appealed to President Bola Tinubu’s led administration to lift the country out of its present challenges.
Addressing the 63rd Independence Anniversary Inter-denominational Church Service at the National Christian Center, Abuja, Reverend Akanji said Nigerians are tired of promises made by past administrations that were not fulfilled hence the need for the present Government to fulfill all its promises.
According to him, Nigerians should give necessary support to the present administration to enable it to succeed.
He expressed hope that Nigeria will rise again, and the peace of the Lord will reign supreme in the country.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu who was the guest of honour Inter-denominational Church Service said the country will rise again and the gates of hell shall not prevail.
She explained that President Tinubu who returned from the just concluded United Nations General Assembly meeting with assurances from international investors will not fail the country.
In a vote of thanks the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator George Akume said the reforms embarked upon by the present administration will yield positive results as President Bola Tinubu is not ready to inflict any pain on Nigerians.
He added that President Bola Tinubu was currently reaching out to State Governments with palliatives to cushion effects of the fuel subsidy removal.
