The Federal Government says plans are underway to revamp and expand the Defence Industry Corporation of Nigeria, DICON’s capabilities in manufacturing military equipment and hardware.
According to a statement in Abuja, the Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawale stated this when he visited the facility in Kaduna State.
The Minister who emphasized the crucial role played by the technical experts within the industry, highlighted their professionalism and dedication as fundamental to realising the industry’s vision and growth.
He further urged DICON’s staff and engineers to enhance their performance, assuring them of funding to achieve their objectives.

Major General Aniedi Edet, expressed his appreciation for the Minister of State’s visit, encouraging words, and reaffirmed DICON’s unwavering commitment to its established vision and objectives.
As part of his inaugural tour of DICON, Matawalle also inspected various sections of the facility, including the Special Equipment Factory, Ballistic Helmet Production Unit, and Tailoring Unit, among others.
