A section of the Supreme Court in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT has been gutted by fire.
The cause of the inferno which occurred on Monday morning is unknown but the offices of three Justices have allegedly been burnt down.
NAN reports that the Director of Press and Information of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Dr. Festus Akande, who confirmed the fire incident said “The fire has since been put out. There was no casualty.”
The disaster comes days after the presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar filed 86 grounds of appeal at the Supreme Court to nullify the judgment.
