Kapital FM 92.9 The Station that Rocks!
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, has called on Federal and State Governments to implement the recommendations of the report on the citizens’ summit on integration, peace and national reconciliation to enable the country experience more peace and economic development.
The immediate past President of NIPR, Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo made the call during the official handover to the new NIPR President, Dr Ike Neliaku in Abuja.
Mallam Sirajo maintained that the recommendations were made by Nigerians drawn from all sectors of the economy hence the need for it to be pursued to a logical conclusion.
He added that it was time leaders imbibed the spirit of mentorship to groom great leaders who will continue in building great legacies for the country.
On his part, the new NIPR President, Dr Ike Neliaku appreciated Mallam Sirajo for his efforts at repositioning the Institute and promised to sustain the tempo for the benefit of the country.
Dr Neliaku said it was time to take back the profession from quacks and warned all those practicing public relations without obtaining the requirement to have a rethink or face the consequences.
A former president of the Institute, Dr Rotimi Oladele urged the new members to be transparent and sincere in their dealings to achieve a better results.
