The House of Representatives Adhoc Committee to Interface with Relevant Security Agencies to Reduce Kidnapping and Banditary in and around Isukwuato and Umunneochi Local Government Areas of Abia State today met with the Commissioner of Police of Abia State, CP Kenechukwu Onwuemelie and the Nigerian Army.
The Chairman of the Adhoc Committee Mr. Obi Aguocha in his opening remarks noted that any security challenge faced by ones state cuts across other states.
He however expressed optimism that the committee is prepared to work with the government in tackling the root cause of the existing crisis, ending the unproductive sit at home and the unlawful detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
On his part, the Commissioner of Police Abia State, Kenechukwu Onwuemelie noted that the interface with the committee would center on an appraisal of the security challenges and associated dynamics.
The Chairman thereafter called for an executive session where sensitive matters were being discussed.
