The call on the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Umar Ganduje, to reconcile aggrieved members of the party may have started yielding positive results as Governor Hope Uzodimma and Rochas Okorocha were sighted yesterday at the presidential villa for a meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
Last week, a former Chief of staff to the Imo state government and a chieftain of the APC, Uche Nwosu, during a courtesy call on Ganduje at the APC Secretariat in Abuja, urged him to carry everyone along to restore peace in the party.
Nwosu had underscored the need for a united APC to enable the party to provide the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
Gov Uzodimma and former Gov Okorocha, who have become political enemies in recent times arrived at the State House in the company of the National Chairman of the governing APC.
Presidency sources said less than one hour after the parties arrived, they were joined by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Efforts by newsmen for information on the agenda of the meeting proved abortive as both parties kept mum.
