The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio has congratulated Nigerians, particularly the Muslim Ummah, as they celebrate this year’s Sallah.
Senator Akpabio in a statement says he especially rejoices with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he celebrates the first Eid-el-Kabir as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He also extends his felicitation to the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, on the occasion of the celebration which is an important pillar of Islam.
He therefore enjoins Muslims to observe this day, with the essence of the season which underscores our submission to the will of the Almighty God stressing that the importance of sacrifice in our daily life should not be lost on us.
Senator Akpabio cherishes the resilience and patriotism of Nigerians in the face of the current challenges facing the nation adding that we should all see it as part of the process of nation building.
