In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, Mr. Abbas bemoaned the flood that ravaged the Trademore Estate, Lugbe, Abuja, which damaged property worth millions of Naira.
According to the Speaker, relevant government agencies had before the rainy season alerted the public to the possibility of flood in some parts of the country, saying the public must heed such warnings.

The Speaker who sympathizes with the residents of Trademore Estate over the unfortunate incident calls on the authorities to swing into action to avert reoccurrence of the incident.
The FCT Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, had yesterday said 116 were affected by the flood.
