FCT Minister, Mr Nyesom Wike has encouraged Nigerians not to be deterred with the challenges facing the nation, but be determined to build a greater nation for the coming generation.
This is contained in his Christmas message to residents of Abuja.
Wike who described Christmas as a period that symbolises the birth of hope, urged residents to transcend borders and bring people together in the spirit of love, compassion, and goodwill.
The FCT Minister assured that the FCT Administration remains steadfast and resolute in its current efforts to undertake projects to enhance infrastructure, promote economic growth, and foster a better quality of life for all residents.
Nyesom Wike who also used the medium to advise residents to be security conscious and strive to meet their obligations, appealed to them to join hands with the Administration in its quest to build a befitting capital territory.
“As we gather with family and friends, let us reach out to one another especially the less fortunate ones amongst us with open hearts and open hands, fostering a sense of togetherness and understanding”.
“Let us remind ourselves that small acts of kindness can have a profound impact on individuals and families facing challenges…On behalf of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, I hereby extend my heartfelt greetings to all the residents of the Federal Capital Territory for the 2023 Christmas”.
“This festive season which celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, holds immense significance for all of us as it symbolizes the birth of hope, the promise of renewal, and the enduring power of kindness. In the midst of our diverse backgrounds and unique journeys, we find common ground in the universal themes of love, generosity, and the joy of giving”.
” As we face the challenges of nation building let us not despair as we forge ahead but look forward with a renewed hope for a brighter future and a determination to build a greater nation for the coming generation of Nigerians”.
” While security has been beefed up across the Territory throughout the duration of the festivities, residents are also advised to be security conscious and reach out to the security agencies whenever you notice anything out of the ordinary.”Wike said.
