Kapital FM 92.9 The Station that Rocks!
The Federal Road Safety Corps , FRSC , says it will collaborate with development partners, traditional institutions, and financial organizations to provide decent and affordable housing for its officers and men.
The Corps Marshal, Mallam Shehu Mohammed, who stated this while commissioning a 36-unit housing estate at Auta Ba Lefi in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State said the Corps places high priority on the welfare of its personnel.
Mallam Mohammed explained that the Corps is already working with stakeholders to provide accommodation for FRSC personnel willing to participate in the housing scheme.
According to him, the Corps is currently engaging relevant institutions to develop additional housing projects in Bwari and Orozo, while fifty hectares of land have already been acquired and allocated to staff.
He commended the Karu Traditional Council for donating 125 plots of land to support the Corps’ housing scheme.
The Corps Marshal assured that the FRSC would remain committed to its 2025–2030 Housing Strategic Roadmap aimed at addressing the housing deficit, particularly through the provision of 1,400 housing units.

The Esu of Karu, Luka Baba Panya, commended the FRSC for ensuring the free flow of traffic despite the ongoing road construction in the area.
According to the traditional ruler, the presence of more federal government institutions would boost socio-economic activities within the domain.
Luka Baba Panya also pledged the support of the Karu Traditional Council towards enhancing FRSC operations in the area.
Also speaking, the Deputy Chairman of Karu Local Government Area, Ibrahim Bulus, pledged adequate security for FRSC facilities and properties in the area.
Mr. Bulus used the opportunity to call on other government agencies to take advantage of the peaceful and crime-free environment in Karu to establish their projects.
