FCT : NSCDC Commandant Receives PhD Award

Background

The FCT Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Olusola Odumosu has been conferred with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Security and Strategic Studies.

The prestigious honour was bestowed during the Nasarawa State University’s 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony.

This is in recognition of Dr. Odumosu’s outstanding contributions to knowledge in the field of security administration, strategic leadership, and national development.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Monica Ojobi says Dr. Odumosu’s academic accomplishment reflects his unwavering commitment to intellectual advancement and professional excellence in the field of security management.

It states that his research and practical engagements continue to contribute meaningfully to policy development, operational effectiveness, and the strengthening of internal security frameworks in Nigeria.

According to the statement, as Commandant of the FCT Command, Dr. Odumosu has demonstrated exemplary leadership, fostering synergy among security agencies, enhancing critical infrastructure protection, and advancing community-based security initiatives across the Federal Capital Territory.

The statement says his pursuit of higher academic attainment underscores the importance of continuous learning and capacity building in addressing contemporary security challenges.

The Command congratulates Dr. Odumosu on this remarkable achievement and expresses confidence that this milestone will further enhance his contributions to the Corps and the nation at large.

The NSCDC FCT Command also commends Nasarawa State University for recognizing excellence and promoting scholarship in Security and Strategic Studies.
