Nyanya Gwandara Residents Call For Stiffer Security Measures

Residents of Nyanya Gwandara in Karu Local Government Area of Nassarawa State have called For stiffer security measures in the area.

This followed an attack by armed robbers who catered away properties and left some people critically injured.

Speaking with kapital FM, the residents who said they can no longer go about their daily activities peacefully, expressed worry over the reoccurring robbery incident in the community.

According to some relatives of the victims, Mrs. Naomi Patrick and Mrs Godiya Godsent, the robbers who operated in large numbers were armed with cutlasses and guns, shooting sporadically as they moved from one house to another .

The head of the local vigilante group in the community Mr. Abdullahi Musa however, said with the swift response of the police, they were able to stop the operation.

The residents, therefore appealed to relevant authorities as a matter of urgency to take appropriate measures to restore normal activities in the area as the economy bites harder.
