The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is to resume the Continous Voter Registration, CVR middle of this month with the online pre-registration.
A statement by the National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, Mr Sam Olumekun, states that the in-person registration option will follow a week later.
According to the statement, the two processes will later continue simultaneously for a year until the 30th of August next year.
It explains that the exercise will hold in 811 centres, INEC offices in the 774 Local Government Areas, the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory offices nationwide every work day with the exception of national public holidays.
It also indicates that for easy identification, the Commission will deploy an online CVR Live Locator to assist citizens locate the registration centres nationwide.
On Party Registration ,the Commission says it has received eight more letters of intent from associations seeking registration as political parties.
This brings the number received so far to 151.
The statement says that details of the latest requests have been uploaded to the INEC website, and the Commission has commenced the shortlisting of the associations that meet the requirements to proceed to the application stage.
