Anambra Guber : PDP Candidate Unveils Vision, Calls for Credible Election

As the November 8, 2025, governorship election in Anambra State draws near, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Mr. Jude Ezenwafor, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring economic stability and strengthening security through sound policy direction and decades of public service experience.

Mr Ezenwafor, made this known during a media parley in Abuja with members of the League of Anambra Journalists, who paid him a visit after he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt by unknown gunmen in Abuja.

Speaking during the visit, the PDP flag bearer who outlined his political journey and shared his vision for a transformed Anambra State highlighted his extensive experience in politics and public administration, including his former role as the State Chairman of the Labour Party in Anambra.

Mr Ezenwafor reassured his supporters and Anambra people of his unwavering determination to contest and win the election, stating that despite the recent attack on his life, his resolve remains unshaken.

He called on the electorate to embrace his manifesto, which he said was crafted from a deep understanding of the state’s unique challenges, cultural dynamics, and untapped opportunities.

Earlier in his remarks, the interim President of the Association, Mr. Ikenna Okonkwo, described Ezenwafor as a courageous and visionary leader and commended his resilience, noting that his survival from the recent attack may be a sign of divine purpose.

He also emphasized the critical role of the media in ensuring voters are well-informed to make sound decisions at the polls.
