Speaker Condemns Killing Of 16 Hunters In Edo

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr Abbas Tajudeen has strongly condemned the brutal killing of 16 hunters in Udune Efandion, Uromi Local Government Area of Edo State, describing the attack as barbaric and unacceptable.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, the Speaker expresses deep concern over the senseless violence and calls for urgent action from security agencies to investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The Speaker emphasises the need for calm and restraint, urging communities to trust in the government’s resolve to ensure justice prevails.

He extends his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting its citizens—particularly during this solemn period of Ramadan and Lent.
