The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, has attributed seventy percent of the crises bedeviling the nation to insecurity.
This is contained in a statement signed by the National Secretary of CUPP, Chief Peter Ameh in Abuja.
According to Chief Ameh, government must take the bull by the horn to address it now before it is too late.
“Our situation is devastating and there is no sight of relief. 70% of crisis the country is facing today is as a result of insecurity. Government must take the bull by the horn to address it now before it’s too late, Chief Ameh stresses”.
The statement explains that without addressing security challenges, the nation will be at risk of losing investors’ confidence in the economy.
According to the statement, foreign investors like Microsoft have concluded plans to quit following lack of security, which he described as disturbing.
“Security, good roads and train services will remain essential to ensure that we are able to protect our country from being abandoned by investors” he notes.
The statement urges the government to as a matter of urgency come up with modalities to nip in the bud all security challenges to provide investment friendly environment for investors.
