The National Board on Technical Education (NBTE) has honoured the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, with a ‘Mother of Skills” award.
Presenting the award to the Head of Service in Abuja, the Executive Secretary of the Board Prof. Idris Bugaje who reiterated the cordial relationship between the OHCSF and the NBTE, said it assisted institutions under the Board to become certificate awarding institutions.
Prof. Bugaje intimated that efforts of the HoSF in uplifting the nation is worth celebrating with her keen interest in skills acquisition, which speaks volumes of her sensitivity to the realities of time.
He, however, expressed hopes that the unification of different skilled employees through the Scheme of Service will be a great achievement for the Board and the Service as a whole.
While appreciating the board for the honour, the Head of Service Dr. Folashade Yemi Esan assured that the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), which is a Parastatal under the Office will soon develop a curriculum to be in tune with the realities of time.
She also said that work on the integration of the Board’s activities into the Scheme of Service is already near completion.
The highlight of the visit was the handing over of the Manual of the Board and other important documents to the HoSF by the Executive Secretary of the board.
