The Christain Association of Nigeria, CAN is to strengthen its collaboration with traditional and other religious bodies to promote peace and Economic growth in Kuje Area Council.
The Coordinator of CAN in Kuje, Venerable Samuel Akale who stated this while addressing members during an Easter Rally held at Kuje town hall said the collaboration became necessary to complement government’s effort at alleviating the plight of rural dwellers.
Venerable Akale said the association would come up with empowerment programs for women and youths in the area.
This according to him is to foster religious harmony in Kuje and environs.
The Kuje CAN coordinator however called on government to initiate more developmental programs and infrastructural development to rural villages.
He also stressed the need for church leaders to always look after the welfare of members and educate them on the importance of peace to development.
The rally which was the first of its kind had in attendance over Five thousand Christains across denominations.
