The Minister of State for Defence, Matawalle has cautioned Nigerians against resorting to inflammatory remarks when discussing government matters.

According to a statement by the Director Information Press and Public Relations of the Ministry
Henshaw Ogubike, in Abuja,
Matawalle emphasized the potentially detrimental impact of such remarks.

According to him, such remarks can create tension and incite violence within the nation.

He stressed the need for constructive dialogue and unity in addressing national challenges, affirming President Bola Tinubu’s commitment and capacity to ensure Nigeria’s security and economic prosperity.

Matawalle underscored President Tinubu’s dedication to enhancing national security, citing initiatives aimed at strengthening the Nigerian Military and rebuilding the capacity of security services under his administration.

Additionally, the Minister highlighted the government’s focus on economic revitalization, particularly through increased investment in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the expansion of social safety nets to support vulnerable households.

He further disclosed President Tinubu’s recent approval of a committee, comprising state governors and federal representatives, to explore the establishment of state police as a measure to combat crime effectively.

While acknowledging the global economic challenges, Matawalle assured the public of the government’s unwavering commitment to mitigating the burdens faced by Nigerians.

He urged citizens to prioritize peace, tolerance, and national unity in their interactions, emphasizing the collective responsibility in building a prosperous and harmonious Nigeria.
