Outgoing Perm Sec, Walson Jack Tasks Staff On Commitment

To ensure effective management and utilisation of the nation’s Water Resources there must be commitment in fulfilling the mandate.

The outgoing Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack stated this at a
valedictory meeting with directors and staff in Abuja.

Dr. Walson-Jack commended them for their efforts, dedication and hard work, in achieving the Ministry’s Mission and Vision for the nation’s development.

Mrs Walson-Jack while reflecting on her three-year tenure, acknowledged the privilege of serving in the Ministry.

The outgoing Permanent Secretary attributed her accomplishments in the Ministry to the team’s expertise, professionalism, and relentless spirit.

She also thanked the staff for their outstanding contributions and friendship saying she looked forward to continued growth and success of the ministry .

The outgoing Perm Sec urged the Management team not to relent in fulfilling its mandate, by ensuring effective management and utilisation of the nation’s Water Resources.

Mrs Walson-Jack expressed confidence in the Ministry’s continued success under the leadership of the Minister, Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev and the Minister of State, Mohammad Bello Goronyo.

She therefore aappealed to the team to extend the same cooperation to the incoming Permanent Secretary, Aliyu Shinkafi.

Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack promised to carry the lessons learned, values and experiences at the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation to her new Ministry.

The Directors while acknowledging the news with mixed feelings, praised Mrs Walson-Jack for her dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the Water and Sanitation Sector.

They took turns to eulogize the Permanent Secretary, for her relentless dedication, impactful leadership, and positive influence over the past three years in the Water and Sanitation Sector, which brought about change.

Mrs Esther Walson-Jack has been redeployed to the Federal Ministry of Education.
