Traffic Violations : FRSC Mobile Court Commences Sitting

A Mobile Court today commenced sitting in Abuja to prosecute traffic offenders especially drivers engaged in overloading.

The Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC Zonal Commanding officer in charge of FCT and Niger State, Assistant Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed while addressing Newsmen at the commencement of the sitting in Abuja said a special operation was ongoing to check the excesses of commercial drivers.

Mr Shehu Mohammed said the FRSC was committed to protecting lives and property of citizens on the highway for realization of the Renewed Hope of president Bola Tinubu.

The FRSC Zonal Commanding officer however appealed to road users to always abide by traffic rules as the mobile Court would continue to be in session to prosecute offenders no matter how highly placed.

 

The FCT Sector Commander, Mr Muta’a Chorrie said Over Two Hundred Vehicles have been impounded since the commencement of the special operation to end the menace in FCT.

He appealed to residents to cooperate with the FRSC to bring sanity on FCT roads.

The Sector Commander assured that adequate personnel and logistics have been deployed to all identified routes for effective traffic management during the Ember Months Campaign and beyond.
