No fewer than Six Hundred youths across Forty Three African ountries have converged on Abuja to brainstorm on ways to harness resources to develop the. continent.
Addressing the opening of the Assembly of All African Conference of Churches in Abuja, the Archbishop Methodist Cathedral Church of Unity, Most Reverend Michael Akinwale appealed to African Youths to come together and come up with solutions to the challenges facing the continent.
Most Reverend Akinwale emphasized that they should not allow the present global economic situation to reduce the potential deposited in them by God.
He reminded them that African leaders are looking up to them for a brighter future of the continent.
The Methodist Archbishop however called on leaders to initiate programs and policies as well as youths inclusiveness in governance for a new dawn in Africa.
The Executive Secretary, Youth All African Conference of Churches, Muyunga Brian said the meeting provides another opportunity for African Youth’s to contribute to the sustainable development of the continent.
Mr Mutunga Brian who is from Uganda believes that outcome of the five days conference would empower young Africans to champion a united and prosperous continent.
