Niger Govt Seeks Collaboration To Woo Investors

The Niger State Government is seeking collaboration with the Federal Government to woo more investors to the State, especially in Agriculture.

The Governor, Muhammed Umar-Bago stated this after a closed-door meeting with the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu in Abuja.

Speaking to Newsmen after the meeting, Governor Umar Bago explained that his visit was to tap knowledge from the Minister and acquire first-hand information about development partners which he said is at the disposal of the Ministry.

Governor Umaru Bago maintained that the State is determined to maximise its Agricultural potential, hence, the need to partner the Federal Ministry of Budget and Planning in getting the right investment, particularly in Agriculture.

Responding, the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu assured the Governor that the Ministry is willing to collaborate with Niger State to coordinate the development plans of the Federal Government and that of the State

While commending the zeal of Governor Umar Bago to transform Niger State, Sen. Bagudu promised to work with the State Ministry for Budget and Planning Commission, to fast-track the development of projects initiated by the Governor to reposition Niger State.
