After a 12 minutes delay by the referee due to net check, the 11 time Women African Champions game started on a high note as Asisat Oshoala could not connect with a cross from Ifeoma Onumonu in the 1st minute.

The waves of attack finally paid off just before half-time as Tosin Demehin’s Cross from halfway line found Unchenna Kanu who made no mistake with the finish for the opening goal of the game.

Early in the second half, the Super Falcons extended their lead as Oshoala found Captain, Rasheedat Ajibade to finish off an excellent team move from a few yards out.

There was no stopping the Falcons as Unchenna Kanu, who earlier scored turned the provider as her cross in the 68th minute found Oshoala to head into the net for the team’s third goal of the game. Few minutes later, Rasheedat Ajibade scored her second and the team’s fourth of the game to seal the context.

Also speaking, coach of the Super Falcons, Justin Madugu said his team was anxious at first;

“There was so much anxiety in the first half, they were anxious to try and get goals that will calm their nerves and then give everybody confidence and the necessary lead that we desired and that accounted for why they couldn’t in front of goal lost several scoring chances”

He also added that he had to calm his girls down during the halftime;

“In the second half we had to tell her to calm down, take it easy, play their normal gane, when the goals will come it will come..

It’s not about rushing, you must stick to the game plan…..

Which was what we did in the second half”
