Interior Minister Congratulates Tinubu On S/Court’s Judgement

The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima over the Supreme Court verdict that affirmed their victory in the February 25, 2023 presidential elections.

The Apex Court, in its ruling, dismissed the appeals by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi.

In a statement signed by Alao Babatunde, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the minister, Dr Olubumi Tunji-Ojo applauded the verdict of the presidential petition tribunal.

According to the statement, the verdict of the Supreme Court, which affirms President Tinubu’s victory as the winner of the February 25, 2023 presidential election elates his soul.

It states that President Tinubu’s walk to this significant stage of life has been marked by a steadfast dedication to public service and a deep-rooted vision for the prosperity of the country.

“Nigerians, and of course the world, await the turn-around of the nation’s fortune, and the early signs are here with us as proofs that renewed hope is here,” he said.
